Where we stand

Yuppie Plaza should be easy to read and use, whatever device or assistive tool you rely on. Our target is the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines. We want to be direct about it: the site has not been through a formal accessibility audit, and we do not say that it conforms to the guidelines. The target guides our choices, nothing more.

Practices we follow

Everyone on the Yuppie Plaza Editorial Team who edits a page tries to follow these habits:

  • Keep text readable, with plain headings and brief paragraphs.
  • Give images alt text, which matters a lot on a site about clothing where photos carry meaning.
  • Make sure pages can be used from the keyboard.
  • Use descriptive link text so a link makes sense out of context.
  • Pick colors that contrast well enough to be easy on the eyes.

We check these as we work, but we are not perfect at it, and some pages may fall short.

What we cannot control

A good share of our links lead to product pages at online stores, and some pages may carry embedded content supplied by others. We do not run those pages and cannot change how they work. If a store’s page is difficult to use with your tools, we are sorry for the trouble, and we would still appreciate a note so we can think about how we link to it.

Report a barrier

Found something on Yuppie Plaza that you cannot read, reach or operate? Email contact@yuppieplaza.com. Tell us which page it was and what happened, and add the browser or assistive technology if you know it. We take every report seriously and use it to improve the page in question and our habits going forward. The Contact Us page lists other ways to reach us.
